Music Room

The main reason for our visit to Salisbury was to visit Arundells, the former home of Sir Edward Heath. The house has been kept almost exactly as it was when he lived in it, and has a very intimate feeling. This is the Music Room, where recitals still take place. Visitors are invited to play the piano if they wish, though that might be rather intimidating under Sir Edward's eagle eye!
The signed photos on the piano and around the room are a gallery of the political giants of the 20th century: Willy Brandt, Golda Meir, Winston Churchill, Pierre Trudeau...
