Chickpeas
When we were in London, Abby wanted to try a recommended vegan/vegetarian restaurant called Mildreds. It was quite a trek from Southwark to Soho but it was worth it - the food was great. They served the creamiest hummus so I resolved to make some. I've done it in the past but not for a while. Decided to do it from scratch but after soaking the chickpeas for 8 hours, boiling them for an hour, trying to remove as much skin as possible (and there is a lot!), I can see why people use canned chickpeas!
Anyway, tomorrow will see if the extra effort was worth it.
