Almost Home

We had a full flight home from Chicago, which is not surprising since it was the end of the schools' half term break. But it was another drama-free flight - great crew and very nice passengers! They almost always are from Chicago!

I enjoyed a few minutes of sightseeing out of the window before we landed. It looks so peaceful even though we knew our nation was reeling after the attacks in London just a few hours before. We had heard about the stupid attacks just before we left Chicago. What a tragic thing yet again. I applaud the first responders and the police for their quick response. It could have been so much worse.

The rest of the day was taken up with picking up Dolly and having a long nap, pottering around the house and then falling asleep properly at bedtime. It was a much longed for full night of sleep in my own bed!
