From Castle Hill...
The refurbished buildings on Dunoon pier seen through a gap in the newly-lush trees on Castle hill this afternoon. The thick grass and fully-leaved trees look like summer, but there was a chilly wind and the temperature felt more like early April.
At the moment the pier is still a white elephant: the refurbished buildings are waiting for the community (or the council?) to decide on a best use for them, while the apologies for ferries continue to use a slip in the lee of the new breakwater. But from up on the hill you can pretend we still have a proper pier, real seaworthy ferries to the town centre ...
Maybe not.
