Olympic Torch

Today is a back blip. At school this evening was speech and prize giving for last academic year and Victoria won a £10 book token. So off she and I went to school for 7pm start only to find it was a 7.30pm start.

The evening was about as good as these evenings get but it was lovely to see all the children collect their prizes and tropies for all the hard work they did last year.

At the end there was a gentleman giving a speech, he had gone to Newport school several years ago and now raises money for disabled children to compete in sports. His speech was very good and not too long. At the end however he did say as he had carried the olympic torch through Bishops Stortford, if anyone wanted to hold the torch or have a photo taken with it we could. Here you see me being a big kid!!!
