The High Road

A visit to Como today. After coffee at the bar we take the bus to Como. Traffic is back to normal and there were no major hold ups, just the usual as we try to squeeze past the oncoming traffic in the narrow sections of the road.


After another coffee at Piazza Volta we went through the old streets of Como before taking the funicular (see extra) up to Brunate from where there are stunning views of the city of Como. Returning to lake level we went for lunch near the edge of the walled town. This was followed by another wander through the town and a look at the shops, after which we had a bottle of Prosecco at the top floor cafe of the COIN department store. Finally the bus back to Lenno which was not too crowded and made good progress along the road.
