Catching the Sun: Wild
What a surprise this morning to walk round the back of High Royds and see the array of wildflowers that have grown since my last visit.
As I'd slept in this morning there were more people around and I got caught a few times 'head down and a*se up in' the long grass. (NB I borrowed that phrase from one of the very 'earthy' women I met on my summer job in Sketchley's Dry Cleaning factory- she had a way with words I'd never heard and it's stuck in my mind)
Back to the meadows, I was struck by how different it all looked since I was up there a few weeks ago photographing bluebells in the woods. The woods today looked forbidding as the canopy of leaves blocked out any light.
