Looking after the elderly

After yesterday's full on day I started a bit later than normal so was doing the shopping just before 10, then headed off to my elderly bond aunt with her goods and spent a couple of hours with her telling her about Vienna, hearng her stories and agreeing what her needs are for her care plan ahead of a visit on Monday.

So I arrived at my mother's for lunch at 3. Quick bite then off with her to the shops. At 97 she has just started using a walking stick and it has made her much more stable. I left her to go clothes shopping then picked her up just as the thunder and lightning and torrential rain ceased.

More chat, sorting out paperwork then back up the road. The view from Longniddry Bents was dramatic with clouds and shafts of sunlight. Home for 19:30 and dinner, then a bit of TV ( and catching up on Dr Who).

Was heading for an early night (i.e. Just before midnight) when I picked up the dreadful news about London Bridge. so bedtime was later again.
