A Late Birthday Gift

My son, Vanja, and the children came to clean my pond. Actually, Vanja took on the very icky job of cleaning out years of dead leaves, dirt, etc. while Bryce, Julia, and I went for a walk down the road to the water's edge. Oh dear, I left out Capris! My youngest grandpup was with us, leading us out the narrow pier with great enthusiasm. We watched seabirds and cloud-dotted sky and enjoyed the warm sun on our faces. The breeze was lovely. Returning we shook the Mulberry tree and ate a few fallen berries.

The freshly cleaned pond was enjoyed by the children, and is still being enjoyed by their Nanny. Thank you, sweet Vanja!
