... a lovely day spent at Rose Castle in the northern Lake District , listening to a concert of lovely music and enjoying afternoon tea on the terrace . Rose Castle was the former home of Bishops of Carlisle and is now being developed into an international centre for peace and reconciliation. After the terrible events in London last night it's need is obvious.
