Roast

Went for a good walk down the back path and across the fields of wheat this morning - the crop waving rather beautifully in the wind and with some really warm sun between the clouds. Traditional putting the world to rights talk as we walked - or at least accepting that others have to make their own decisions.
Planted A's climbing rose and helped her with some weeding and tidying til Mt,H&AR arrived then chatted a while and played with footballs before setting off for lunch at the Red Lion. Bit chilly on the patio, but meant Heston could stay with us and after a bit of a wait the lunch was yummy.
Browsed the little jam and plants stall outside the nearby thatched cottage with an honesty box for contributions and a beautiful country cottage garden (would have made a nice blip now I think about it!), then all headed our separate ways.
Long drive back to the 'burgh but all went smoothly and its been a nice few days
