Eastcliff Icon

Another day much like yesterday so again it was late in the day that I went out to Teignmouth. I park at Eastcliff for a change and as I walked down to the seafront I stopped to take photo of this wonderful Brunel bridge. As I began to walk on I saw a musical friend coming up. As it happens he's a marvellous artist and a member of the Guild of Railway Artists and he told me that it's an iconic bridge and that every member of the guild except him had used it in a painting.

It is a fine bridge and the sea's lit up nicely beyond. I've added an extra of the view west to the pier and the Ness, which was nearly my blip.
