Indomitable

No doubt as a result of last night's terrible events in London, the only images I found myself inclined to produce today were dark, brooding, and ominous.

But as I was processing this picture the flare of the sun through the branches of the tree caught my eye, and I couldn't resist bringing that out as I thought of the courage and resilience shown not just by the emergency services but by the many ordinary people affected by these atrocities.There couldn't be a bigger contrast than between that and the craven, contemptible cowardice of the vile fanatics who, in the name of their twisted and repugnant world view - I'm not even going to call it "religion" -  commit these crimes against the defenceless and the innocent.


And that is why, whatever their pathetic delusions, these terrorists will never be able to win.
