Cockatoo Island....

today we spent the days with our friends Jane and Mike and took the ferry to Cockatoo Island to see some contemporary art from around the world. Lady M had suggested I went and I'm very glad she did as it was a really good day.
I was particularly impressed by Li Hongbo's extraordinary folded paper installation. All these beautiful blooming flower-like growths were actually formed of various gun models. Handguns, machine guns and all manner of guns... cleverly transformed into beautiful blooms. SO-Blooming clever !!
