September

The other thing that September brings is cruise ship traffic to Portland. It's actually great for the city and fun to watch them arriving and departing through the shipping channel-- they are massive! I walked with my friend Carolyn around the Eastern Prom and past the ferry terminal where this huge floater was just de-boarding. You can't really see it but thats a huge tv/movie screen up top. Ugh. Not my first choice for a vacation!
I wish I had taken a picture of Carolyn instead. She's much prettier!
