Pictorial blethers

A multitude of colours

Early evening in Benmore Gardens. It has rained, briefly but heavily (we climbed by a sheltered path and stayed relatively dry). The sun returned in a blue sky, then clouded again as we descended from the hill. The scents were amazing. By the time we reached the pond, the sun was gone again, but the colours of the meconopsis and primulae were brilliant.

My extra photos are of a single exquisite bloom on a rhododendron, and of the sun on the moss at the top of the hill with a lone pink rhododendron at the heart of the picture. And we met two American visitors. The woman told me she was from South Carolina - "and I can't stand Donald Trump". Glad to meet the kind of American you pray will soon return to power ...
