Here we go again

I feel a rant coming on.
This is an avocado orchard being sprayed. This could be harmless it may be seaweed fertiliser for all I know but what is common in the industry is to spray some heavy duty organophosphates. A lot of the new chemicals are said to be safer, but they are also expensive and they dont kill everything, much better to leave a dead zone behind you yes! And as usual they dont test for long term health effects, like does it cause cancer? As you can see the spray wanders around the neighbourhood as it will. I have heard of chemical drift being picked up as far as 15 km from the source. If you think harm has been caused you have to prove it. Difficult and expensive. It rarely happens, the legislation is on the side of ecomonic growth.
Rant over.
