Meeting Giovanni and family

Back blipped
Last day of my time in Sicily today. Me and Sue went with Jodie to Chiara and Joys apartment and were really pleased to see Giovanni looking out of his apartment window as we were going up in the lift. Giovanni ( Chiara's cousin) was just 3 years younger than me when I went out to Sicily in my late teens to be an au pair for his family. It was so nice to see him again and meet his family . We had a very tasty pasta lunch and a good laugh about old times and catching up on the last 30 years!
Had to leave Jodie with Chiara and Joy as she begins this new chapter in her life. We hadn't left the airport before she was texting me saying that she was feeling homesick. It is a big change for her, I really hope she settles and finds it a positive experience.
