Wedding reception

I spent the evening working at our local community hall where a local wedding reception was being held. The hall committee hosts about 4 wedding receptions a year and the fees allow us to maintain the facilities for the whole community. We bring a (local) chef to be in charge of the cooking, but apart from that, everything else is managed by local volunteers, from the kitchen helpers to the waitresses, the bar staff, the stewards, the set-up, everything. Usually I am Maitre D, but everyone mucks in with whatever needs to be done.
