Time for some TLC

So the day has come to take the Morris down for its 50 year restoration project at Charles Ware in Bristol.

My mother bought it 50 years ago from Bristol Street Motors in Bristol for £445.  I won't say what this is costing!

After consideration we are keeping the hood and the interior as it is - just concentrating on the outside paintwork, bodywork and mechanics.  We are doing this for longevity and there is still life in the hood and interior.  Maybe in a couple of years.

One thing that is so evocative is the smell.  Couldn't bear to lose that.

So, dropped it off (second blip) and caught the train back.  It is strange having an empty garage and Willoughby has lost one of his places for a quiet kip - resting on the roof.

Back in July or August.  Counting the days.
