Sea and an Island

Today drew bright and sunny, surprisingly after the rain during the night.  After a slow start it was off to Waihi Beach for a surprise lunch with a 93 year old.  It was great to catch up with her family and Teach's brothers. After lunch we went down to the beach hoping to get a great view of Mayor Island.  by the time we got there the wind had whipped up and the waves were throwing spray far and wide.  The clouds were starting to roll in and the vivid blue sky had turned to an insipid blue.
