Abstract Thursday .....

This morning I had to run up to the pool place that we got our pool from so that I could exchange the pool filter for smaller one.  On the way home I stopped at Jacobsburg State Park. 

And boy am I glad I did as I saw a Ruby-throated Hummingbird (a male) for the first time this year at the park.  I had seen one at home about two weeks ago but haven't seen any since ... and not from lack of trying! I watch our nectar feeder quite religiously! 

After seeing the Hummingbird I hung around for a little while hoping to get a picture but he was quite flighty (and VERY fast) and I didn't get a single shot of him. I will definitely be back!
