They may be pernicious weeds, but they do look good!

It was decidedly driech this morning, but it didn't stop the pollen beetles on the dog rose.

After dropping the monsters off at school and walking PD SWMBO and I headed out to get a 40th birthday present for our niece. I also took a shine to a new watch which is also one of these 'smart-watch' things that will keep an eye on how far I am walking and the suchlike. Or at least it will if we can get it to sync to my phone!

By afternoon the weather had improved dramatically and I was able to get a shot of the fallen horse chestnut flowers which I saw yesterday (when it was too wet). Not convinced that I have got quite what I was after though.

So now it is the weekend ......... whoopee!
I hope it doesn't pass as quickly as the rest of the week.
