from here to there

Wow, six years of blips. It seems like just yesterday that I took my new camera out of the box and held it with an inexperienced grip to snap a photo of a house finch at my feeder. Then many emails to "Simplemoments" to figure out how to post to Blipfoto. Thank you, Linda, for introducing me to this wonderful world of talented and caring people!

At first I joined to force myself to get used to my new camera (taking the 365 day challenge), and maybe learn a few things from other photographers.

Now I am very familiar with my camera (I still use the same Eos Rebel T1i), and I have learned from others, but I still continue to blip because I love the way it makes me look for beauty around me, and interact with great people across the world! It expands my soul.

A special shout out to my constant commenters (you know who you are): a funny guy from Michigan, a new runner with two dogs, a colorful crafter (who also has two dogs who wear hats), a nature photographer extraordinaire with a fabulous bird bistro, a macro specialist who has shared the intimate details of entering widowhood, a woman full of faith despite her trials, a new blipper with two young sons, and a sunny lady from Ireland who is often the first to post a comment!
