Embarking on a journey.
We are fortunate to have my Grandmothers piano which has been in the family since the mid 1800's. It is a beautiful instrument but is now in need of some restoration. It has a wooden frame and can no longer be tuned to the correct pitch. So, today, it was collected to go to a specialist piano company who will re string it so that it can then be properly tuned and carry out some other maintenance. We're not sure how long it will all take but it looks very strange having a gap in the front room where the piano should be! As you can see, moving a piano in and out of our house is not the easiest task but they managed very well. We now wait to receive their report and the estimate for the work (gulp!)
