Hakea myrtoides

This is a beautiful Hakea which is in full bloom in our gardens at the moment. Its leaves are small, elliptical and myrtle-like - hence the name. Each branch is simply covered in these stunning pink flowers with an abundance of white stamen, giving it the common name of Hairpin Hakea.
I rather liked it on the black tile.  It looks like two floral caterpillars eyeing each other off. No? Well, squint your eyes a little and you'll get it!
