I should lay off the self medication

Don't worry, the only self medication I do is herbal teas. Leaving work today I couldn't think what to blip. Exhausted I looked around and saw a tub of herring lying on the grass. Odd. So blip sorted. But once on the computer I started playing around with it and this is the result. Like the yellow grass. Point of debate; is using editing against the spirit of blipfoto and just lazy compensation for a boring photo - or is it perfectly acceptable as part of the photographic process? No answers on postcards please, just leave comments with your thoughts.
