Smokin!

At the top of the crater on the aptly named Volcano, one of the Eolie Islands. It's smokin!

The first thing that hits you as you approach the island is the smell...sulphur...it stinks of rotton eggs! Although, surprisingly you do get accustomed to it after a while.

It was about a 90 minute walk to the top of the crater and back. We got caught in an almighty rain storm on our way back down. Soaked to the skin...warm rain though so all good fun.

Almost felt I'd earned my cocktail on the deck tonight.
