the red eye special

I usually bird by ear, that is, I notice a bird's call first and then look for it. This is a spotted Towhee and it's call is quite distinctive. Sometimes I don't even bother to look for the bird because I am sure it's a towhee. But this morning I was intrigued by how close the call was, so I searched and searched until I found the tell tale red eyes.
