Towards the East.....

Today, the first of June, is officially the first day of winter. It has been bleak, cloudy and cold all day with drizzle at times. I went for an early walk on the Wither Hills. There were not many other walkers on the tracks. The sun was doing its best to break through the clouds on the eastern horizon.
This evening we were rather amused to find a small hedgehog sitting in Maisie's feeding bowl outdoors. It has obviously been eating Maisie's special dry dog food.
