Close call

A while ago I blipped a leaf I called "The shape of autumn". Since then I've thought that there is a lot more to autumn and winter leaves to blip.

The weather has gone grey and dismal so today I wandered off after lunch in search of leaves that had fallen or blown into interesting places or positions. The rules were that I couldn't add, remove or change anything.

Tomorrow I'm heading away for a long weekend of fishing. That's meant the pope has had to go into the slammer tonight. It's a different cat hotel to his usual one. This one is closer (pretty much a drive in the dark in the country to get there) and better located for a few days. Benedict is obviously feeling better as he's more perky today.

He wasn't impressed that I didn't feed him and he nipped my leg, a trick we didn't have at the old house! There's no point in inviting an upset tummy in the car. I left him at the new hotel eating biscuits. He'll be fine. He has a paddock with a goat and trees with birds to look at. If I was small and furry with a brain the size of a walnut I'd be excited too :-)

Today's gratitude: I've finally been reimbursed for the report I had done on the garage.
