Today is Roald Dahl Day. I am and always have been a huge fan of Roald Dahl books, ever since my Aunt Roseanne used to return from her trips abroad and always have one for me.

My favourites have changed over the years too. I used to love Danny the Champion of the World & The Witches, but now I love Fantastic Mr Fox and The BFG. . . they're all good fun really.

I came across this handwritten collection of words that Dahl had written to be included in the early writings of The BFG, which was then called The Fleshlumpeating Giant.
