An ordinary life....

Hotel California...

After a bit of a disrupted sleep due to a number of reasons (too warm, hip sore, brain in overdrive about various things)  I re-set my alarm for 9am (originally set for 7am) to try to get at least two hours of sound sleep.   I should have known better.  David woke me at 8.30 to say he'd just had a text from AP, the electrician, to say after thinking he had finished all his jobs on the house yesterday, had remembered he still had to fit a new transformer to the lights in our ensuite bathroom cabinet and would be here in less than an hour!

Now given that I am not the fasted mover in the morning (or indeed anytime!  :-)) I was up, showered, dressed and the bedroom and bathroom tidied with minutes to spare!  Infact I'd just come downstairs and gone to the front door to collect the post, when the door bell rang and there he was.  So, cabinet lights now fixed so when I get ready for bed tonight, I can look forward to seeing my middle-aged face fully light as I brush my teeth.  Oh joy!  :-))

Poor AP was just leaving, again thinking this would be his last visit, when I remembered one of the coloured lights above the pool isn't working and I mentioned it too him.   Oh dear, his face fell.   He did laugh though when I said him and his colleagues would be calling this house Hotel California - you can check out any time you like but you can never leave!  :-)))

Another lovely day.  Alan and Ashleigh went out galavanting and David and and I thought about going for a run in the car but decided coffee in the Gin Palace and relaxing with our feet up was a better use of the lovely day.

Stopped under theJapanese maple tree to get my blip.  In my mind I knew exactly how I wanted this shot to look but it hasn't quite worked out as I'd planned.  I realised it at the time but the smell of coffee lured me away.  I'll try again another day.

The second print to hang up in our WC arrived today (the ones I think everyone will think we're nuts for buying, and that's part of the reason I love them :-)  David will hang them tomorrow then it's just the loo roll holder,  towel ring and mirror to put up and the room will be complete.  Another thing ticked off the list.  I will blip the prints once the room is done :-))
