Downhill Ecstasy

The highlight of Pilates was when a supermarket delivery man wandered into our midst. We use a communal room at a sheltered housing scheme. Unfortunately we did not get any free samples other than profuse apologies.

Easy decision this afternoon......indoors or outdoors? Travelled to the moors above Rosedale for a walk on the old railway track. We traversed the head of the valley before descending into the valley for a visit to Dale Head Farm cafe for refreshment before a steep climb back to the car.

The railway track circumnavigates the valley with one section at the head of the valley which does not follow the old track due to flooding. Instead it climbs and then descends over steep rocky terrain. As we reached the bottom we looked back to see a group of mountain bikers descending. This young man really enjoyed the thrill of the descent! As did the other younger members of the group.

The only downside was they were quicker than us and were already tucking into chocolate cake and flapjack when we arrived at the cafe.
