Heading up

Day one of the Welsh 3000's. Yesterdays forecast was seemingly totally wrong, and instead of thunder, rain and wind the day started off clear and hot. We'd elected to do the route in reverse to the traditional way, to avoid Crib Goch in high wind, and were a bit miffed the forecast was totally different. It tuns of it was actually right, just a few hours late! No sooner had we ascended, the weather came in and we spent the rest of the day in the cloud and rain. Towards the afternoon the wind got pretty bad and we could barely stay upright. I got blown into an electric fence at one point! 40pmh wind is not to be messed with. We arrived back at the camp site and were greeted with hordes of midge and nowhere to dry our clothes, we resigned ourselves to a but of suffering and went to bed as the wind continues to howl. I need a camper van!
