Whisky dog

Had a good nights sleep in the camper and managed to leave early to get the ferry to Islay. Kilda’s first ferry trip and she was OK. Stopped off at Ardbeg for a quick look as we were ordered out of the shop as they don’t allow dogs in there. Headed down to Laphroig to collect our year’s rent on our square foot of Islay. They welcomed Kilda with open arms and she had a good fuss from the people in the shop. Found our way over to the Jura ferry. Had a bit of a wait due to all the traffic and emergency vehicles going over for the Jura fell race tomorrow. Met RD and FM who’s house we are staying in for the weekend much to Kilda’s delight. Headed for the beach and tried out the new kayak while J had a swim. Managed to get Kilda swimming again. Back for a nice meal in the Jura hotel and a beer in the bar after. Great first day.
