Day 2: Kembs to Autrachene

We are cycling in Alsace along the Rhine and Rhone Canal. It's our first full day cycling and it's hot and windy and we are both pleasantly tired and dozing on our beds watching French TV . We are waiting for a respectable hour to go to sleep.
The under-utilised Canal goes through gently rising countryside with modest villages but the cycleways are really well used and maintained making cycling easy and very pleasant.
