Where have all the flowers gone ?

More lengthy walks again today with more long and winding roads. Pressure of time demands that this job, with its imminent deadline, gets done fairly quickly. Looks like the tide may be turning though, in more ways than one !

This blip is of a lupin plant. Over the years I have bought several, none of which have lasted long, some not even one summer and so I've never had the beautiful flowers which often come in the second year. I was given these and I'm just hoping that this time they'll make it. As the garden is quite dry I'm watering daily til they settle in. Fingers crossed.
