Fennel seedhead

There are so few flowers in my garden now; winter's very near. This seedhead is a reminder of fennel growing near the boundary with my neighbours' home, in an area that grows wild and bountiful.
I didn't spot the spiders' webs until I saw the images on the screen.

With Spikes2013' example, I got my monopod out today, and used it for about the 2nd time - I've had it for a very long time, but it has been in storage. That's my excuse anyway! No wonder she uses hers. It makes life so much easier than trying (frantically) to handhold.
