Sunshine and (LOTS of) showers

So apparently we are getting the tail end of Hurricane Michael today, or so our resident hurricane expert (my 11 year old sister) tells me! And if this is the tail end im sure glad we didn't get it head on!

Everything was utterly drab and grey today, until I saw this little ray of sunshine on my walk home (yes, walk !!! queue inside out umbrella, slipping on wet leaves in the most unlady like way while letting out the girliest scream ever) and I just had to blip it. Much better than the soaking wet pigeons I took some pictures of this morning (bless them, the expression drowned rats -of the sky- came to mind).
