Rebuilding

Still exhausted in the high humidity, but managed an hour in the garden attacking some nascent brambles before they take a stranglehold on the shrubs. I also levered the broken tumble dryer door off with a screwdriver and extricated the damp duvet cover which had been trapped in it when the plastic handle sheared off. Will be attempting to replace the door fascia, which has a crack in it, and the handle after ordering the spare parts online - isn't the internet wonderful sometimes?

Mum and I popped into Homebase at Stanway this afternoon and bought a flat pack freestanding cabinet for the rejuvenated bathroom. After cooking supper and then doing the washing up, I've spent a couple of hours tonight wielding one of Dad's screwdrivers to do the cabinet assembly (ha - sounds like Number 10!). He would have been proud of me, especially for not giving in when my frozen right shoulder started to get painful with all the strain being put on it. Time for a couple of painkillers and bed after all the exertion!
