one of the lucky ones

This was one of the lucky ones on our walk today, many of this poor snails friends had been crushed by passing walkers :( . Sis decided to drag me down to Alkbrough Flats this afternoon, alas it was a dull and fruitless trip. We did manage to see a Grey Heron and some Reed Buntings but alas the photo's were as grey and dull as the day :(. This here snail was the best of a bad bunch.
