Smooth tare

 I know nothing on this dull and rainy day could possibly top my Swallowtail yesterday, so i decided to just blip another pretty and often overlooked wild flower. 
This is the Smooth tare, Vicia tetrasperma a pretty little flower of the pea family which grows in dry grassland and roadside verges. Along side it grows the Hairy tare, which has smaller more white flowers, where I took these shots today both grow side by side.
