Keep us safe

We headed for the allotment and made it across the road along Leith Links before the Edinburgh marathon came through (which means you have to wait 45 minutes to cross, as we discovered the first time!). We watched for about half an hour and spotted at least one pal running - although I later heard that he didn't finish, due to the heat. Very sensible; it was almost too hot for a little light horticulture.

The "Keep us Safe" flower planter (along with two others promoting the new 20 mph speed limit) is the work of the kids in St Mary's Primary. We saw them planting them up earlier in the week, with three of the Leith Polis in attendance to do the heavy lifting.
