First dahlia

In February I bought a bag of four single dahlia tubers, followed the instructions to plant them in pots. I put them in the conservatory with a bit of heat under the pots from a propagator and three of them duly started to grow. The fourth tried but didn't throw out any leaves. They were moved outside a couple of weeks ago and this is the first to bloom. It has the most gorgeous orange-pink blooms and they all have beautiful mahogany leaves which sets this flower off perfectly. I love dahlias and I know some people think they are garish but they can also be beautiful. I can't wait to see what colours the other two turn out to be.
