rescue
the last few hours have been all a-hum with helicopter sounds as our local coastguard helicopter team does their thing....risking their own lives ever more frequently as a consequence of 'coastal access' which, regrettably, has no IQ requirement for visitors who seem to have assumed that 'right to roam' means that the cliff tops have agreed not to fall, crumble or slip when tourists are about! getting close to or climbing unstable chalk cliffs is daft and dangerous, yet visitors still ignore the warnings....
please tell your family and friends to stay clear of jurassic cliffs - they have always been dangerous, unstable and liable to crumble whenever they fancy. the different layers of stone that are the geographical feature of the area make it a bit of a mixed bag: secure in parts, but mostly treacherous.
And the safer parts are being undermined by visiting 'climbers' drilling into the fabric of a world heritage site..... insane. one died the other week....but they still keep coming.
The Radish Diaries....Radish often walks a fine line...
