Tiny Ceilidh

So they had a tiny ceilidh at The Skylark. We played mahjong in the midst of the dancing for a while, but in the end we just had to join with the dancers! They were filming it so at some point there should be some footage online of it all.
Earlier, at Soc Cafe we discussed why people don't go to church any more and how far back we should go to correct past wrongs. And in the afternoon L and I did a bit of mandala drawing with N, one of our neighbours, having listened to United's failed attempt to get promotion back to the Scottish Premier League - one game too many it seemed as the rather skewed play-off schedule once again benefitted the team currently in the Premier League. Hamilton were the better team on the day but maybe only having to follow their 38-game league season with two more games while United had to play six games in quick succession at the end of their 36-game league season was decisive in the end as the United players ran out of steam in the second half. It was 1-0 on the day, and on aggregate. A shame the ref and linesman failed to see the penalty United should have got at Tannadice in the first leg but clearly it was not to be. Hopefully there's next season to try again. There are worrying rumours about the club's financial stability that fingers crossed are not as pessimistic as they sound.
