Our Blackbird

We really have been adopted by this little blackbird.  It was quite scruffy a month ago when it first appeared, but now it pops up, smart and groomed, and welcomes seeds and attention from us - Willoughby is not amused!

What impresses us is that it - and a robin with similar social habits - have acquired the ability to feed from the hanging birdfeeder.  Up until know that skill has been the perogative on the goldfinches and the tits.  Just shows how quickly birds and animals can adapt.
