Sometimes I Wish Horses Could Talk...

Milo is coming along well, he is being lunged in a saddle and with a straw dummy on his back that wildly flaps about, I hope to be able to ride with a little bit more elegance when it's my turn! He is now getting used to someone leaning over his back in the stable..it won't be long before we are able to get on properly.

I lunged him myself today for the first time and he was as good as gold, listening and reacting to all my instructions.

Johnny is still away on his trial at his potential semi-retirement home and as he seems to be enjoying himself and they love him so much he is staying on a few more weeks and rather than upset things by bringing him home for the summer and then him going back for good in September we are considering that it may be better for him to stay now...it's very tough as I have to consider what's best for him and it may not be what I want...there are times when I wish horses could talk so he could tell me what he would rather do!
