Gravel Pits
This afternoon I thought I’d pop to the local gravel pits to see if the lilies are anywhere near coming out. The little back water where they are, is well covered with leaves and looking carefully I could see lots of buds just beginning to open slightly. And then I saw one lily just open. It’s my extra today as it’s not that good a photo as I had to take it one handed whilst hanging on to a sapling – it was pretty inaccessible. My blip for today is one of the Iris that grows around the margins of this pool. I’ll be back later next week to see how the lilies are coming on.
